It was another fantastic outing from Dylan Cease who fanned 13 across 7 innings of 1 run baseball.
Cease struck out the side in the first inning and K’d another 2 in the second. He allowed his only run of the game in the third inning in the form of a solo homer. Cease struck out 2 in the fourth, fifth, and sixth. He allowed a 1 out double in the seventh but worked out of it with a flyout and a lineout.
It was another showing of the best pitch in baseball, Dylan Cease’s slider. He struck out 9 with the slider, and had 16 whiffs on it. Topping out at 3123 rpm, there is no better offering in the league than his slider as it leads every major category for every pitch such as, BAA, RV/100, SLGA, wOBAA, Whiff%, K%, Put Away%, xBAA, xSLGA, xwOBAA, and Hard Hit%
